Paragon Bank is pleased to announce that Debbie Howell, Vice President — Senior Accountant,  was selected by her peers as one of the Team Members of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Each quarter, Paragon Bank recognizes an employee for their outstanding performance in demonstrating Paragon’s values. At the end of the year, a Team Member of the Year is selected from the previous Quarter winners.

Howell, who has been with Paragon for over 19 years, prepares financial and analytical reports for the executives of Paragon, completes and submits the quarterly Call Reports to the FFIEC, does the month-end closeout procedures and assists with any balancing issues.

For Howell, the fact that service is a big part of the Paragon culture is especially meaningful and important to her.

“Paragon encourages all employees to share in its dedication to the community,” she explained. “This has allowed me to volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America for many years, and to exercise my creative side with events for Make-A-Wish, Relay for Life, and the Neighborhood Christian Center. Through Employee Appreciation Weeks, Memorial Day cookouts, Thanksgiving potlucks and All-Employee Outings, I have built cherished relationships and lasting memories.”

When she’s not in the office, Howell loves spending time with her two sons and their dog. She also enjoys traveling to see her brothers and sisters-in-law, especially to watch sports. “I have to get my sports fix in!” she laughed. “I also enjoy dinners, shopping and traveling with my girlfriends.”
