Switching banks is easier than your old bank wants you to think.

We've done the hard work for you. Download the Paragon Switch Kit — every form, every step, and a banker who will walk you through all of it.

Why Now is a Good Time to Make the Move to Paragon

Most people stay at a bank they’ve outgrown because switching feels like a headache. We hear that. So we built a kit that removes every obstacle — the forms are written, the letters are drafted, and the steps are in plain English.

But the real difference at Paragon isn’t the paperwork. It’s what comes after. A banker who knows you. Decisions made here, not in a committee somewhere else. Service that doesn’t stop after the account is open.

What makes Paragon different – specifically:

  • Your Paragon banker is a decision-maker, not an order-taker. No waiting for approvals from someone who’s never met you.
  • The people caring for your account love their jobs — and it shows.
  • Concierge-level service that’s operational, not a tagline. We check in at 30 days to make sure your switch landed right.
  • Local decisions. Every call. Every time. We’re not routing you to a regional center when you need an answer.

Everything you need, organized in order for you. The Paragon Switch Kit comes in two versions - personal banking and business banking. Here's what they include:

Personal Switch Kit

Form 1: Transaction Inventory Worksheet
Map every deposit and automatic payment before you move anything

Form 2: Direct Deposit Authorization
Pre-written authorization letter for your employer, Social Security, or any other income source.

Form 3: Government Benefits Change Instructions

Form 4: Automatic Payment Change Letter

Questions We Hear Most:

  1. How long does switching banks actually take? For most personal accounts, two to four weeks from start to finish — running both accounts in parallel during that time. Business accounts typically take 45 to 60 days because of payroll and vendor payment cycles. Your banker will give you a realistic timeline based on your specific situation.
  2. Do I have to close my old account before I can open one at Paragon? No. Open your Paragon account first — always. Keep your old account funded and active until every automatic payment and direct deposit has successfully moved. Only then do you send the closure letter.
  3. What if I miss a payment during the transition? That’s exactly why we build in a 30-day parallel period and why your banker checks in at day 30. We’ve designed the forms and the process specifically to catch anything that slips. And if something does, your Paragon banker will help you resolve it — not a call center.
  4. I have a business with payroll. Is this really something I can do without disrupting employees? Yes, and we’ve built Form 7 — the Master Business Checklist — specifically to protect your employees’ paychecks during the switch. The process calls for two successful payroll test cycles at Paragon before you close anything at your old bank.
