Paragon Bank is pleased to announce that Troy Wheetley, First Vice President — Director of Technology Infrastructure, was selected by his peers as the Team Member of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2024.

Each quarter, Paragon Bank recognizes an employee for their outstanding performance in demonstrating Paragon’s values. At the end of the year, a Team Member of the Year is selected from the previous Quarter winners.

Wheetley, who has been with Paragon for a decade, says that his duties primarily revolve around network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. A major piece of this puzzle is cybersecurity. He also manages the IT department which oversees the helpdesk, server support and online banking support.

“I am very proud of the team we have built,” Wheetley said. “I’m excited to be able to work with these guys day-to-day.”

According to Wheetley, he enjoys the small, family-feel of Paragon.

“We don’t have that ‘all about the money’ mentality you get in a lot of corporate jobs,” he explained. “Paragon is proud to be community focused, ‘here when you need them’ company. I like that!”

In his time away from the office, he says he’s a gamer at heart.

“I love them all,” he enthused. “Video games, board games, card games. Sitting around the table playing with friends and family is always a highlight of the day.”

Wheetley also has a passion for grilling and smoking, taking every change to make a meal for his family. He also says he’s a bit of a movie and TV buff.
