Paragon Bank Celebrates Sixth Annual BCA Family Day

05-13-26

Faculty, staff and family members educated on financial literacy

Paragon Bank celebrated the sixth annual Binghampton Christian Academy (BCA) Family Day on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Activities included financial literacy classes for BCA faculty, staff and family members, while students enjoyed a variety of crafts, face painting, fellowship and popsicles from MemPops. Each student walked away with a gift for a special someone on Mother’s Day.

“We’re so thankful to Paragon Bank for hosting our annual Family Day. It’s something our students look forward to all year long,” said Shelley Alley, Director of Development and Communications for BCA. “This event is a fun, memorable time for our students, teachers, and families to come together and just enjoy being a community. We really appreciate Paragon’s partnership and all they do to support BCA.”

Nancy Walls, Assistant Vice President, Community Development Officer at Paragon Bank, taught a financial literacy class for adults, focusing on the path to home ownership and important financial landmarks to be met along the way.

“When people see the path forward to homeownership, they gain the power to change their future,” said Walls. “The path to homeownership turns dreams into a lasting legacy. I look forward to watching that legacy come to life.”

Concurrently, students from PK-8th grade flexed their crafting muscles as they prepared a Mother’s Day present for special women in their lives. Students had the option of painting a small pot to be potted with succulents, painting a small bird house to hang from a tree at home, or constructing a bookmark out of paper and fabric. Students also had the opportunity to have their faces painted, brightening up an otherwise rainy day.

“I truly value the opportunity to work with the students of Binghampton Christian Academy,” said George Daley — First Vice President, Credit Risk Officer. “They’ve come to feel like an extension of my own family. Their energy, character and potential remind me of my own experiences growing up, which makes the connection especially meaningful. Having participated in numerous events with them over the years has only strengthened that bond, and I am always honored to support activities that are both enjoyable and enriching for their development.”
