Stephen Lewis has spent more than 30 years doing one thing: getting Middle Tennessee families into homes, and staying with them long after the closing. A past president of the Middle Tennessee Mortgage Bankers Association, Stephen has built his business the way Paragon builds relationships — one referral, one repeat client, one builder and realtor partnership at a time. He works across the full range of mortgage products, from Conventional and Jumbo to FHA, VA, THDA, Rural Development, and Construction-to-Permanent loans, and he’s especially known for walking first-time homebuyers through a process that can feel overwhelming until someone takes the time to explain it. Ask the builders and realtors who send him their clients why, and the answer is always the same: he tells people the truth, he answers his phone, and he treats every loan like it’s the only one he’s working on.
Originally from Brownsville, Tennessee, Stephen graduated from Mississippi State University and began his mortgage career in Nashville and Brentwood in 1993. Beyond originating loans, he’s helped build mortgage departments from the ground up at community banks across Middle Tennessee, served four years on the Board of the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association, and stayed active with Greater Nashville REALTORS® and the Williamson County Association of Realtors.
Stephen and his wife, Angie, live in Franklin. Outside the office, he’s watching Mississippi State and Titans football, out on the water fishing, on the golf course, or duck hunting — usually with family close by.

Forty-two years in the mortgage business, more than 5,300 loans closed, and Marty Maitland still treats every one like it matters — because to the family on the other side of it, it does. He’s built his career on new construction and first-time homebuyers, the two areas where a banker’s patience and know-how make the biggest difference, and he’s served on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT) as their financial liaison — putting him on the industry side of the table as often as the lending side.
Marty earned his B.S. in Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from the University of Tennessee, where his loyalty as a Vol has never wavered. He has two grown sons living in Nashville and is a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Trenton, Tennessee. When he’s not on the golf course, he’s watching just about any sport that’s on.
