Paragon Expands to Oxford, Seventh State

Paragon Bank today announced it is now operational in seven states, with the addition of Kin Kinney as Oxford Market President. Kinney will report to Robert Shaw, Chief Executive Officer at Paragon Bank.

“Paragon has a strong history in the town of Oxford, and we’re excited to have our first team member living in the area,” said Shaw. “There is a healthy, competitive market in Oxford, and we are confident in Kin’s ability to grow our presence and provide the high level of service that Paragon prides itself on.”

As Oxford Market President, Kinney is responsible for growing the bank’s operations in the market, while continuing to be an active participant in the Oxford community. Kinney is the former chairman of the Oxford Chamber of Commerce and Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation, and during his career has been involved with United Way of Lafayette County and other civic organizations.

Paragon has many ties to Oxford. When Paragon was first formed in 2005, several area residents invested and have remained shareholders. Paragon also has several customers already in the market.

Prior to joining Paragon, Kinney worked at Renasant Bank (previously M&F Bank) for 22 years, serving as Executive Vice President for Retail Banking, Executive Vice President and Chief Deposit Officer, Senior Vice-President Retail Sales Northern Division and Oxford Branch President. Kinney earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. Additionally, he graduated from LSU Graduate School of Banking of the South,Mississippi School of Banking,ABA National Commercial Lending School, and The Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending.
