Paragon Kicks Off New School Year with Hawkins Mill Students

09-30-13

Paragon National Bank celebrated the start of the 2013 – 2014 school year by visiting Ms. Kimberly Martin’s class at Hawkins Mill Elementary School to meet the first grade students. This is the eighth year in a row that Paragon has supported Martin’s classroom by making trips throughout the school year. During the visits, Paragon employees provide snacks, games and a craft activity for her students to enjoy.

“Our team is very excited to sponsor Ms. Martin’s classroom again this year,” said Robert Shaw, Chief Executive Officer at Paragon National Bank. “Our visits to Hawkins Mill are always the highlight of our staff’s week and we’re eager to build strong relationships with all of her students during this school year.”

During Paragon’s first visit, employees Penny Hill, Haley Overcast, Tracey Thesmar and Sharon Tigner introduced themselves to the students and read the book “Owl Babies.” Afterward, the staff helped the students create handprint owls and taught them about coin value during a game of coin Bingo. Before wrapping up the visit, Paragon provided snacks and goody bags to the students and donated classroom supplies to Martin.
