Paragon Hosts St. George’s Independent School Student Artwork

05-16-13

Paragon National Bank will showcase artwork created by St. George’s Independent School
students in the main lobby of its Saddle Creek banking center (7600 Poplar
Avenue) throughout May. With locations in Germantown, Collierville and Memphis,
St. George’s Independent School serves students in pre-kindergarten through
twelfth grade and is the ninth local school art exhibit that Paragon has hosted
during the 2012-2013 school year.

“We have truly enjoyed showcasing
artwork created by so many young artists in our community over the last year,”
said Robert Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of Paragon National Bank. “We have
been continually amazed by the special talent these young students possess and
are excited to feature this art by St. George’s students as the final
installation of the 2012-2013 school year.”

Paragon worked with art teachers
Allison Betchick and Gia Broadway to coordinate and display the mixed media
work created by students in art classes led by St. George’s teachers, Charles
Bopp and Danny Broadway. Paragon has one of Danny Broadway’s acrylic on canvas
pieces, titled “Swing,” as part of its permanent collection in the Saddle Creek
banking center.

The inspired work was created by
Joshua Broadway, Alexander Walker and Walker Webb in the first grade; Abigail
Finch and McKinley Hill in second grade; Emma Clayton and Hailey Flaherty in
third grade; Hud McGeehee, Sydney Somogyi, Sam Stamps and Tyke Tabor in fourth
grade; Graham Gumbert and Mary Virginia McWaters in fifth grade; and Alexis
Harshbarger in twelfth grade.
