Paragon Appoints Perkins as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President

Paragon National Bank announced the appointment of Lewis W. Perkins, III as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President. In this role, he is responsible for financial reporting, fee-based businesses, liquidity, deposit operations, information systems, property management and asset liability management.

A local Memphian, Perkins previously served as Audit Partner at Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC, where he was responsible for reviewing financial statement audits of financial institutions for compliance with applicable standards, providing consulting services to financial institution clients and supervising staff in the financial institution niche.

“I have known Lewis for many years and I’m extremely excited to welcome him to our team,” said Robert Shaw, Paragon’s President. “His concentrated work with community banks over the last three years has provided him with in-depth knowledge of bank accounting and regulatory matters.”

Perkins received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in accounting from the University of Memphis. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs, where he serves on the Financial Institution Committee. In his free time, Perkins attends his children’s numerous athletic events and performances.

Perkins replaces Michael Erhardt, who is leaving the bank to pursue a career with Vining Sparks IBG, LP, though Erhardt will remain a Paragon shareholder.
