Paragon Bank welcomes seasoned banking professionals to team
02-29-24
Paragon Bank is excited to welcome Chris Miller and Christy Fitzwater to its team. Miller will serve as the new Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending. Fitzwater will serve as the Vice President, Retail Banking Support. Together, they bring over 60 years of experience to Paragon’s already well seasoned team. Miller will report to Gordin McMurty, Senior Vice President — Manager of Commercial Lending. Fitzwater will report to Kin Kinney, Chief Deposit Officer and Oxford Market President.

Miller joins Paragon as the newest commercial lender in the Memphis market. He will be involved in commercial and industrial lending. Previously, he worked for Bank3, National Bank of Commerce, Union Planters, Regions, Metropolitan Bank and Bancorp South. A longtime Memphian, Miller attended Evangelical Christian School (ECS) and University of Memphis. He’s a volunteer at the Memphis Union Mission, an avid golfer and loves to spend time with his family and friends.
“We are excited to have Chris Miller here at Paragon Bank,” said McMurty. “He’s a very experienced commercial lender with extremely strong ties to the Memphis business community.”
“I look forward to the opportunity to serve our commercial customers,” Miller said, “and build lasting relationships with all our clients.”
Fitzwater, originally from Forrest City, Arkansas, has worked and resided in Memphis for over 30 years. She previously worked at Trustmark Bank, Trust One Bank, Enterprise National Bank, National Bank of Commerce, Southtrust Bank and Union Planters.

“I have such a sense of peace and commitment in being here,” Fitzwater shared. “It is a privilege to work with a group of such caring and kind people. It’s wonderful to see the community events, as well as all the hard work and fun had by all associates.”
“As Paragon Bank continues to expand into new markets, customer service is more important than ever,” said Kin Kinney, Chief Deposit Officer and Oxford Market President. “Christy brings a wealth of retail banking experience to us that will translate into better customer service through training, product knowledge and retail service support.”
