Paragon Showcases Teachers’ Art During Summer Months
06-27-16
Paragon Bank is currently displaying artwork created by local teachers whose students’ work has been showcased in past exhibits. The art will be on display at the Paragon Bank Fountain Place Banking Center (5400 Poplar Ave) and open to the public until July 31.
“This summer’s art display is the first of its kind for Paragon,” said Robert Shaw, Chief Executive Officer at Paragon Bank. “We wanted to support the teachers, who enrich and shape the lives of students in the Memphis area by encouraging imagination and creation.”
The bank worked with local art teachers to coordinate a diverse and eye-catching exhibit with pieces using media such as charcoal, buttons, graphite and pages from discarded books. The use of these different materials, combined with the unique styles of each artist, creates a display that will appeal to everyone.
Featured art teachers include Jocelyn Collins, Westminster School; Kristi Duckworth, Madonna Learning Center; Robin Durden, St. Louis Catholic School; and Rebekah Laurenzi, Farmington Elementary.
