MenuVeteran Bank Executive Scott Hauss Joins Paragon Bank Board of Directors

Paragon Bank announced that Scott Hauss, the Head of School for Evangelical Christian School of Memphis, has joined its Board of Directors.
Paragon’s President and CEO. Robert Shaw, stated, “We are very pleased to have Scott Hauss join our Board of Directors. He is a person of high integrity who has broad banking experience and a knowledge of both West and Middle Tennessee markets. We know he will be a great contributor to our board.”
Hauss, a veteran Memphis-area banker, pivoted from running financial to academic institutions in January of 2024. As the Head of School, he is responsible for the overall management, academic excellence and financial health of ECS. He used his financial knowledge and strategic know-how in his previous positions as President and Chief Executive Officer at Bank3, Senior Vice President of Business Banking at Regions, and the Vice President, Collections Department at National Bank of Commerce.
After graduating from The University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management, Hauss worked for the Ford Motor Credit group before beginning his career in banking. He has served on the Board of Trustees of ECS for 14 years, including two years as Board Chairman, and four years as Finance Chairman. In addition, Hauss serves of the Board of Trustees at Grace Christian School in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. He also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor as the McAfee School of Business at Union University and is a Trustee, Deacon and Finance Committee Chairman at Crossroad Baptist Church.
“I am excited about joining the Paragon Board, and having the opportunity to stay connected in the business community,” Hauss enthused. “I have known Robert Shaw and a lot of their team members for many years. I am hoping my 37 years of banking will provide a contribution to their team!”
