Paragon Advertising Campaign Finalist in Prestigious Industry Awards Program

Paragon National Bank today announced that its advertising campaign has been named a finalist in the American Banker’s Association Financial Marketing Awards.

The campaign, which included print and radio ads, is a finalist in the “Customer Acquisition Marketing/Under 500M” category, with winners to be announced on September 17 in Baltimore at the organization’s annual conference.

Last year, Paragon won first place in the ABA’s “Customer Acquisition Marketing” category among banks with assets under $500 million. The launch advertising campaign, created by Memphis advertising agency inferno, incorporated elements of humor to reinforce the advantages of banking with a local firm. The current campaign continues to use humor to highlight the variety of local banking programs and services Paragon offers to its customers.

The Financial Marketing Awards recognize marketing innovation and creative excellence in the financial services industry. Financial institutions — banks, savings and loans, credit unions, insurance companies, brokerage firms, investment firms, credit card companies — and their advertising agencies submit entries, which are judged on creativity and excellence in execution.

Paragon was launched in 2005 with $23.2 million in capital, a record for de novo banks in the Memphis, Shelby County area. Since its inception, Paragon has experienced rapid growth. Current assets exceed $270 million.

Paragon National Bank Wins Pyramid Award

Paragon National Bank was honored as the “Advertising Client of the Year” at the Pyramid Awards, sponsored by the Memphis Advertising Federation.

Paragon was nominated for this honor by its advertising agency, inferno, which itself took eight awards, more than any other agency.  The “Advertising Client of the Year” award goes to a client which displays “outstanding characteristics uncommon to the industry.”

The Pyramid Awards were held on June 8 at the River Terrace Yacht Club on Mud Island.  The awards are given out annually to recognize achievements and professionalism in the field of advertising. Many aspects of the advertising industry are celebrated, from creative and account management to production and education.
