Paragon Employees Participate in Junior Achievement Program with Hawkins Mill

Paragon National Bank employees Lisa Barden and Patrick O’Hearn recently helped teach Ms. Martin’s third grade class at Hawkins Mill Elementary School about real world economics through a six-week Junior Achievement program. For seven consecutive years, Paragon has sponsored Martin’s classroom by making seasonal visits throughout the year to play games and make crafts with the students.

Paragon Expands Business Solutions With New Partnerships

Paragon National Bank will showcase artwork created by St. George’s Independent School students in the main lobby of its Saddle Creek banking center (7600 Poplar Avenue) throughout May. With locations in Germantown, Collierville and Memphis, St. George’s Independent School serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade and is the ninth local school art exhibit that Paragon has hosted during the 2012-2013 school year.

Paragon Employees Support Neighborhood Christian Center

Paragon National Bank recently supported the efforts of several employees who volunteered their time and creativity to the Neighborhood Christian Centers, Inc.’s (NCC) 8th Annual Spring Jam as part of the bank’s Assisting the Community Through Service (ACTS) program. Employees who participated were able to help NCC simulate a trip to Japan for nearly 1,300 students and adults during spring break.

Paragon Showcases Riverdale Elementary School Student Artwork

Located in Germantown, Riverdale Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade and is the seventh student art installation that Paragon has hosted during the 2012-2013 school year.

Paragon Displays Westminster Academy Artwork

Paragon National Bank will host artwork created by Westminster Academy students in the main lobby of the bank’s Saddle Creek banking center throughout March. The exhibit, which is the bank’s sixth student installation during the 2012 – 2013 school year, is part of Paragon’s ongoing effort to display artwork from area schools in its banking center. Past exhibits include work from students at Bodine School, Dogwood Elementary School, Houston Middle School, St. Louis Catholic School and Woodland Presbyterian School.

Paragon Employees Dedicate 500 Hours to Community in 2012

Paragon National Bank announced that its employees spent more than 500 hours volunteering in the community last year. Through the bank’s Assisting the Community Through Service (ACTS) program, each Paragon employee is granted one week of paid time to support local, regional and national nonprofit organizations of his or her choosing. The ACTS program is one part of Paragon’s community outreach efforts, which also includes the bank’s company-wide support of several nonprofit organizations around the Mid-South.

Paragon Taps Seasoned Talent for Board of Directors

Paragon National Bank has added Mary H. McDaniel, Lauren Boggs McHugh and Pete A. Stark to its board of directors. The three new members, who will each serve a term of three years, will work closely with the bank’s ten other board directors to ensure Paragon’s continued growth and positive momentum in the years to come. The bank ended 2012, which included a successful capital campaign, with the completion of its eighth straight quarter of profitability.

Paragon partnered with the school’s art teacher, Robin Durden, to display artwork by 11 fifth grade students and ten junior high students. Paragon Sees Increase in United Way Campaign Results

Paragon National Bank recently completed its annual campaign for the United Way of the Mid-South, noting a significant increase in both employee participation and contributions for the year. Compared to its 2011 campaign, the bank experienced a 70% increase in employee participation and a 147% increase in the total amount raised in 2012. The 2012 campaign total includes a match from an anonymous donor.
