Paragon Employees Dedicate 500 Hours to Community in 2012

Paragon National Bank announced that its employees spent more than 500 hours volunteering in the community last year. Through the bank’s Assisting the Community Through Service (ACTS) program, each Paragon employee is granted one week of paid time to support local, regional and national nonprofit organizations of his or her choosing. The ACTS program is one part of Paragon’s community outreach efforts, which also includes the bank’s company-wide support of several nonprofit organizations around the Mid-South.

Paragon Hosts Woodland Presbyterian School Student Art in Saddle Creek Banking Center

Paragon National Bank will host artwork from Woodland Presbyterian School students in the main lobby of its Saddle Creek banking center (7600 Poplar Avenue) throughout the month of February. Located in East Memphis, Woodland Presbyterian School serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and is the fifth local school art exhibit that Paragon has hosted during the 2012-2013 school year. Paragon Taps Seasoned Talent for Board of Directors

Paragon National Bank has added Mary H. McDaniel, Lauren Boggs McHugh and Pete A. Stark to its board of directors. The three new members, who will each serve a term of three years, will work closely with the bank’s ten other board directors to ensure Paragon’s continued growth and positive momentum in the years to come. The bank ended 2012, which included a successful capital campaign, with the completion of its eighth straight quarter of profitability.

Paragon Displays Dogwood Elementary School Artwork

Paragon Showcases St. Louis Catholic School Art

Paragon partnered with the school’s art teacher, Robin Durden, to display artwork by 11 fifth grade students and ten junior high students. Paragon Sees Increase in United Way Campaign Results

Paragon National Bank recently completed its annual campaign for the United Way of the Mid-South, noting a significant increase in both employee participation and contributions for the year. Compared to its 2011 campaign, the bank experienced a 70% increase in employee participation and a 147% increase in the total amount raised in 2012. The 2012 campaign total includes a match from an anonymous donor.

Paragon National Bank will display artwork from Bodine School in its Saddle Creek branch (7600 Poplar Avenue) throughout the month of October. Bodine School, located in Germantown, provides an educational experience that focuses on teaching Mid-South children with dyslexia to read and succeed. Paragon worked with art teacher Lori Wakefield to select and display art by 24 students in the first through seventh grades to help commemorate the school’s 40th anniversary, as well as highlight Dyslexia Awareness Month.

Paragon Employees Celebrate New School Year at Hawkins Mill

Paragon’s First Vice President, Dorothy Cleaves, Appointed to THDA Board

Paragon Grants Seventh Wish for Child

Paragon National Bank recently partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Midsouth for the seventh time to grant the wish of a child in Memphis. At least 38 Paragon employees volunteered their time and resources to make the bank’s Fountain Place location fit for a princess in honor of nine-year old Sheyla, whose wish was to have a complete room makeover.

Paragon Collects Record Level of Donations During Food Drive
