Paragon Partners with St. Louis Catholic School to Display Student Art

Memphis, TN - April 04, 2017

Paragon Bank is displaying artwork from St. Louis Catholic School students in its Saddle Creek Banking Center (7600 Poplar Avenue) throughout the month of April. St. Louis has been part of the Memphis community for more than 50 years, bringing academic excellence and faith-based teaching to pre-K through eighth grade students.

“The children at St. Louis provided a beautiful, colorful exhibit for our Germantown office, just in time for spring,” said Robert Shaw, Chief Executive Officer at Paragon Bank. “Displaying works of art from different Memphis schools is rewarding to us and something we look forward to each month.”

While seventh- and eighth-graders brought their favorite Bible verses to life with marbleized paper, shaving cream and watercolor paints, sixth grade students used washable markers to draw colorful, contrasting floral pieces. Paragon worked with St. Louis art teacher, Robin Durden, to coordinate the exhibit.

Student artists include sixth-graders Madeline Duffee, Mary Grimes, McKinley Kee, Trenton Lyons, Melissa O’Neil, Abby Pyrdom, Kaitlin Smith, Mia Soefker, Anna Kate Wade, Cooper Williams and Audrey Zweig; seventh-graders Hadley Donaldson, Caroline Dorian, Alex Grusin, Kate Lamm and Sophie Spencer; and eighth-graders Mary Hunter Adair, Zach Beck, Embry Bird, Matthew Durden and Lily McCrary.
