Paragon National Bank has named Douglas Vanover as Vice President of Commercial Lending. In this role, he is responsible for providing Paragon’s suite of business banking services to companies in and around Memphis. Vanover will report to Gordin McMurtry, Paragon’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending.
“Doug brings a strong background in commercial banking and an interest in community service to our team,” said McMurtry. “His appointment will further enhance our ability to identify the best banking solutions for our commercial customers.”
Previously, Vanover was a banker at two large regional financial institutions, where he provided banking services to Memphis businesses. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brescia University, graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and earned his master’s degree from Christian Brothers University.
Currently, Vanover is President of Memphis Downtown Neighborhood Association and a financial literacy instructor with the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA).
