Small business customers have several cash management tools available to make their banking more convenient including remote deposit capture (ParaTeller), lockbox, internet banking, and a courier service to pick up deposits.

Paragon Bank has hired Brittney Rowe as Business Development Officer. Rowe will report to Mike Edwards, President and Chief Operating Officer of Paragon.

Paragon Bank completed its annual campaign for the United-Way of the Mid-South with a significant increase in both employee participation and monetary contributions compared to its 2013 campaign. This year, the bank raised more than $26,400 and experienced a 125% increase in leadership donors, which requires a donation of $500 or more.

Paragon Bank collected $11,920 and 278 cans of food for the Mid-South Food Bank during the 7th Annual Mid-South Food Bank Student Food Drive. Paragon Bank has reported a profitable third quarter of 2014, with year-to-date pre-tax earnings 35% higher than the first three quarters of 2013. The continued success was a result of double-digit loan growth, increased non-interest income and resolved non-performing assets. Adding to this news is the recent introduction of the Paragon Small Business Capital Group. The expansion aligns with Paragon’s plan to increase net income through growth of the balance sheet and to increase non-interest income.

When Whit Greenway lost his job in 1989 because his workplace was sold, rather than viewing it as a setback, he jumped on the opportunity to take his expertise in the home services industry and his desire to provide quality service to start his own company. Little did he know that the misfortune of a lost job would result in the establishment of a home services company with growing locations in Memphis and Nashville. After selling his company in 2000 and retiring, he started it again in 2003 as Greenway Home Services. Whit has enjoyed more than 25 years of watching his companies grow from a one-man operation to a multi-city company with 125 employees and an average of more than 300 service calls per day.
